Customer Spotlight: Alex Fedotov
We have a number of talented and interesting customers all across the country and we think it’s time to shine a spotlight on them. Every month we will be spotlighting a customer and ask them to share their special talents and experiences in the photography and video world. This month we talk to Alex Fedotov from Orlando, FL.
Tell us a little about yourself and what you do?
I am Alex Fedotov of AD.JUST video production - a creative video production agency serving Central and South Florida.
Most of our projects are videos aiming commercial or corporate proposes: event videos, web and TV commercials, product videos, testimonials and Kickstarters. We use to work in and for marketing agencies doing projects for top accounts like PepsiCo, CraftFoods, Nestle, Nike and that is why our marketing and strategic experience helps us to deliver both creative and professional vision to all our projects here locally.
How did you get into photography and/or video?
Video and music have always been my passion and being originally from Moscow, Russia I graduated from a TV and broadcasting university majoring in documentary directing and graduated second Video school here in US. Before making it my professional occupation, I've always filmed my travel trips with friends to make a memorable video after, I think that is how that started. Later I got involved into music video making and then advertising videos.
Where are you located?
We are located in Downtown Orlando.
What are some of your favorite hobbies/interests outside of photography?
Music. I"ve been a front-man of a rock band for 15 years as well as as music composer and lyrics writer for my songs. We've been playing for 15 years and we eventually become a favorite band of Russian soccer fans (Soccer Club CSKA). They still listen to my music!
And that is the reason why we also film music videos, mostly for fun since young musicians don't have crazy budgets.
What is your favorite thing about being a photographer/videographer?
My favorite thing about being a filmmaker is a process of idea creation and if the client trusts us in that and gives certain freedom the results usually exceed executions.
What is your least favorite thing about being a photographer/videographer?
The least favorite things are technical issues that happen on set because that directly effects the final product. Sometimes you don't have another chance to capture those specific frames you planned.
What is your current favorite piece of rental equipment?
I like Canon C100 Mark II for its cinematography quality and how easy it is to use.
If you were going to a deserted island and could only bring one camera & lens – what would it be?
Where can people follow you or find your work online? (website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube etc.)
Last, and most importantly – what is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
