The SmallHD 502 is one of the most popular field monitors we rent for video users. It offers a ton of features and a very bright screen for such a compact monitor. Its only drawback is many users wish the screen was just a little bit bigger. This week we've added the 502's bigger brother, the SmallHD 702 Lite 7" Monitor.
Just like its smaller counterpart, the 702 Lite offers both HDMI & SDI In/Out ports with cross conversion (for example - you can input from an HDMI source and loop out through the SDI port). The monitor can be powered by either Canon LP-E6 batteries (our rental package will include two equivalent batteries along with a charger) or Sony L-series batteries (not included). There are also 1/4-20" mounting threads on all four sides of the monitor along with one more on the back, making it easy to mount in a variety of different configurations.
SmallHD's Page Builder interface also returns to the 702 Lite. For those unfamiliar, the Page Builder allows you to add custom settings/views like waveform, false-color, zebra, peaking, frame guides, and even image overlay. You can save these settings into "pages" and seamlessly switch between them on the fly. You can even add your own 3D LUT (Look Up Tables) via the included SD card slot.
The SmallHD 702 Lite Monitor will include 2x LP-E6 equivalent batteries, 1x Charger, 1x HDMI to Mini HDMI cable, and 1x SDI Cable. This should be a great addition to any field or studio production.
